The basket is woven with pliable palm leaves from the indigenous Doum Tree which produces a beautiful white to light beige palm leaf. The basket is reinforced with Italian leather crafted at EILAF’s partner leather atelier in Ubrique, Spain.

Named after Eilaf ’s hometown, Medani, in Sudan. Her memories of Medani are associated with trailing behind her aunts on the busy streets and bazaar. The Medani bag is the on the go statement piece that swings back and forth as you own your city.

It is dyed using flowers local to our basket weavers in Rwanda. Styled as the perfect day to night piece while traveling in resort and tropical locations. Also comes with a removable pouch for all your belongings.
